ZClassic (ZCL) is currently one of the 40% of currencies at the end of September 2nd actually showing some progress against the fiat rising up by over 8% in the last 24 hours, currently ranked above the top 100 cryptos while taking the place of the 132nd biggest coin.
ZClassic was originally forked out of ZCash (ZEC) as a result of wanting to remove the founders tax later on having a fork itself, which created Bitcoin Private (BTCP) now considered to be even more successful than ZClassic from which was derived if we are to judge these cryptos by market capitalization and the official ranking list.
ZClassic (ZCL) is now preparing to go through another fork, previously having ZClassic Community Edition (CE) team sending their proposal on the future of ZCL to Bitcoin Private dev team, that way seeking support from BTCP.
Meanwhile, there came another team with the idea to create a new cryptocurrency out of the new ZCL fork, combining the Bitcoin and ZClassic into a new privacy coin, ANON.
Does the market really need another ZClassic fork?
ZClassic CE team Still in the Game while Supporting ANON
In one of the latest tweets from the official page of ZClassic, the team Community Edition announced that ZClassic is now being taken over by team ZClassic CE, which although not specified, probably means that the team BTCP has accepted their proposal as promised to deliver their decision to team ZCL CE by September 1st.
The team ZClassic CE released their announcement of taking over ZCL on August 28th, while the team is at the same time running another official Twitter page “ZClassic CE” where they have most recently discussed voting for the mascot of ZCL.
In the tweet announced several days ago, ZClassic CE team added that ZCL is forking to ANON, stating that the fork is already supported by “many wallets and exchanges”, previously having John McAfee supporting the new ZCL fork to ANON.
Although McAfee openly stated that ANON is one of the two privacy coins that have managed to survive numerous tests, supporting the fork and calling out to the public to freely do their research on the upcoming fork.
The previous fork of ZCL, Bitcoin Private, has made it to the top 100 coins, currently taking the 72nd spot on the official ranking list, making it even above its original network, ZCL.
BTCP combines the technology of ZClassic while implementing key UTXO system used by the original coin, Bitcoin, being different from ZClassic due to combining BTC technology and incentivizing miners by raising mining fees.
Is it better than ZClassic (ZCL)?
Certainly more popular judging by its market cap, while ZClassic has had a rough patch for the past several months, not having an adequate dev team to lead them. This is said to change with ZClassic CE taking over and establishing a brighter future for ZCL, so ZClassic will remain in the market even with the upcoming fork, ANON.
What the New ZClassic Fork, ANON, Has to Offer?
Gaining support from John McAfee and as of the most recent case, being mentioned by ZClassic CE team that appears to be supporting ANON as well, it still remains for the crypto community to see whether ANON is a needed fork.
ANON should be out on September 11th, presenting the new fork as an ultimate combination of security and privacy forked out of Bitcoin and ZClassic, which is pretty much what Bitcoin Private did not that long ago.
The new fork is already getting support from two exchange platforms, TradeSatoshi and Cryptopia. However, some of the community members replying to the news consider that ANON should seek support from Bittrex for the upcoming fork as 90% of ZCL traffic is hosted on this exchange.
ANON team is keeping zk-SNARKS in their fork, while stressing out that the communication is essential for the developmental progress, adding that none of the previous forks have focused on having a transparent communication with the community.
As ANON is aiming at becoming the top private coin, seeking support for the upcoming fork, ZClassic is being taken over by the ZClassic CE team with the support of Bitcoin Private presenting a new roadmap and stating that the new official dev team is ready to improve the overall performance of ZClassic (ZCL).
Whether ANON will live up to the vision that is presenting for the upcoming fork, remains to be seen in the upcoming months.
